Trending: The Healing Power of Purple Glass

What is up with the new Violet Purple Bottles?
A few of you have called or emailed asking questions about the change over from the amber and clear glass to the black (actually dark purple) glass bottles. As you already know, each product is handmade in small batches with the best quality food grade ingredients, with no preservatives, ensuring the best skin food to heal your body. But because of the "new" purple glass from Europe, the contents of your VIRTUE SKINFOOD products remain pure and actually increase in healing intensity as they sit in the bottle, extending shelf life, even though there are NO preservatives. How do we do that? Let me explain the new bottle technology that allows this amazing feat.

Violet Purple Bottles Ensure Purity & Extend Shelf Life
VIRTUE SKINFOOD does not use synthetics and preservatives because we believe it has a negative influence on human health. So how do we ensure the most effective and potent yet shelf-stable skin care? We use Miron glass to ensure the purity and integrity of our quality natural food-grade ingredients.

How does it work? Our black glass (which is really dark violet) packaging is the most premium quality and offers our skin care optimal protection against the harmful effects of light. Furthermore, the use of our special purple MIRON glass increases the shelf life of our oils, creams, and lotions, prolonging their potency. We could cut our costs by using clear glass or plastic, but that isn't VIRUTE SKINFOOD's mission. Our mission is to provide the best quality nutritional toxin-free skin care, that feed and heals our bodies. So we have chosen to use Miron Glass in our packaging.

Violet Purple Bottles Block Degrading Light
Miron Violet glass blocks the complete spectrum of visible light with the exception of the violet part. At the same time it allows a certain part to be permeable for radiation in the spectral range of UV-A, and infra red light. The unique combination offers optimal protection against the aging processes that are released by visible light, thus lengthening durability and potency of products. What doest that mean? Miron glass stops the natural degrading process of light, and additionally increases the potency of the ingredients by absorbing purple healing light.

Does this seem hard to believe? The Miron Violet Glass Company conducted a series of tests themselves and in cooperation with scientific institutions. My favorite is the tomato test.

Storage test with tomatoes
In order to more easily prove the quality protection given to food stored in MIRON violet glass, a microbiological experiment was carried out with cherry tomatoes. During this test, a cherry tomato was stored for 7 months in a white glass and in a MIRON violet glass, and then kept at room temperature where sunlight could reach it. The result was photographed after 7 months. The microbiological changes of the tomato stored in white glass can be clearly seen. The tomato stored in MIRON violet glass however shows no loss of color and no signs of drying out.

So that "black" bottle isn't just cool looking. And you know it really is super cool. It is what helps preserve and intensify the nutritional quality of VIRTUE SKINFOOD so that you can maximize skin healing and repair without the need of synthetics and preservatives. These bottles are very expensive, but then we don't want to spare any expense in making sure your body is treated with the most effective natural biodynamic therapeutic treatments. Let the healing begin!

How can I see how much product I have left so I can reorder?
So YES, it is almost impossible to see the contents of the bottle, so it does make it difficult to know when to reorder. But don't forget, typically we ship priority mail, so you will have your order within 1-3 business days.

Recycle with Other Glass Bottles
How to recycle? Treat the empty bottles as you would any other glass bottle and place in the recycling bin.
